Shohei Abiko

安彦 翔平

Associate, Design Dept., Architectural Design Div.

Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa. Abiko studied architecture and interior design at Aoyama Technical College and, after graduating, worked at several atelier design firms, primarily on the design of resort hotels. Since student days, Abiko has traveled alone in Japan and abroad, spending time with diverse people at guesthouses and encountering the chance interactions and new values that arise there. Seeing common ground between that formative experience and the "places" U Share sets out to create, Abiko joined the company. Drawing on experience in creating comfortable spaces gained through hotel design, Abiko gives shape, through design, to "places" where diverse people gather and where interaction and new connections arise naturally from everyday life.
