Yuka Masui

増井 由佳

Born in Toyota, Aichi. Dormitory life at a technical college and a homestay in the United States nurtured the spirit of "Living Together, Growing Together." In graduate school, Masui researched school architecture in Japan and abroad. While studying at the Sint-Lucas graduate school in Belgium, Masui traveled widely as a backpacker, encountering a wide variety of cultures and architecture. After joining Yamashita Sekkei, Masui worked on a broad range of architectural design projects, centered on educational facilities and extending to government offices, hotels, and more. At U Share, drawing on this experience, Masui looks beyond the design of the building itself, pursuing an architecture in which "people" and "place" connect comfortably.
