Sagiya Sansorai

A ryokan renovation project in which the Takamiya Group, with over 300 years of history in Yamagata Prefecture, carried out business succession and revitalization. Because the existing wooden ryokan, over 100 years old, had been repeatedly extended as the eras passed, the design and brand direction were brought into order while the wooden structural elements worth preserving were carefully selected, and a major renovation was carried out. The corridor was converted into a lounge and restaurant, and the purely Japanese-style guest rooms were given a modern touch. The project also contributed to raising the average daily rate (ADR) of the ryokan business, achieving a remarkable revitalization. The brand design by Mr. Naito is also superb, unified with the architectural space.
