To let visitors feel the grandeur of the Tateyama Mountain Range and the soil, water, vegetation, and air of 'Helgian Wood,' Toyama's village of beauty and health, we worked with Maeda Pharmaceutical from the business-concept stage to create a sauna retreat that immerses the entire building in the soil. Within the earth, far from the clamor of the city, you might simply face a one-of-a-kind landscape and even forget that you are human. With an insect's eye and a bird's eye, you attune and sharpen your five senses and observe nature to your heart's content. This is the kind of place we set out to make. Looking ahead, the concept is to expand the brand to sites of famous spring water and superb scenery across all 47 prefectures of Japan.
