U Share N University Project

A U Share international student residence project located on the campus of a certain university. As a facility that embodies the Residential Education essential to the future of Japan's STEAM university education, it aims to be an international student residence that puts 'living and learning under one roof' into practice. To form a single community of eight, eight private rooms share one living-dining-kitchen (LDK), creating a cluster unit. Several such clusters link together, flexibly shaping an amoeba-like community that adapts to the terrain. It is an environmentally conscious building: it draws on renewable energy from solar power and battery storage, and as a timber-based building it aims to be a ZEB (Net Zero Energy Building) and a carbon-neutral building. Within the real estate development, the firm also arranges the On Campus-style impact real estate investment scheme.
