Most students start their housing search at the station nearest their campus. There is another way to do it: live where several lines meet and ride one of them to class. The two U Share Student residences sit by four stations. Nishi-Waseda on the Fukutoshin Line, Takadanobaba on the JR Yamanote, Tozai and Seibu-Shinjuku lines, Waseda on the Tozai Line, and Omokagebashi on the Toden Arakawa tram line. Here are the campuses you can reach from them without changing trains, line by line.

The Tozai Line is the spine of this area. Two stops east of Waseda for Iidabashi, two stops west of Takadanobaba for Nakano. Science, law and business campuses sit along the same track.

The Yamanote is a loop, so Takadanobaba reaches both directions without a change. Tamachi, the station for Keio's Mita Campus, sits on the same loop. We give only "no transfer" there, because the stop count depends on which way round you count.

The Toden Arakawa Line, also called the Tokyo Sakura Tram, is one of the city's last streetcars. From Omokagebashi, the stop nearest WC2, both Waseda and Kishibojinmae are only a stop or two away.

Reachable by through service
Keio University's Hiyoshi Campus is a 1-minute walk from Hiyoshi Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line, per the university. The Fukutoshin Line and the Tokyu Toyoko Line run through service, so some trains continue onto the other line without a change. Whether a given train runs through depends on the train, so check service information before you travel.
Universities that need a transfer
One change still puts a lot of Tokyo in reach. These campuses need at least one transfer; here is the station each university names. Check each route on the university's official access pages.
- Sophia University, Yotsuya Campus: Yotsuya Sta., 3-min walk (JR Chuo, Marunouchi, Namboku Lines)
- The University of Tokyo, Hongo and Komaba: Komaba sits on the doorstep of Komaba-Todaimae Station on the Keio Inokashira Line (the university states a 0-minute walk)
- Meiji University, Surugadai: Ochanomizu Sta., about 3-min walk. Izumi: Meidaimae Sta., about 5-min walk
- Toyo University, Hakusan Campus: Hakusan Sta. (Toei Mita Line), 5-min walk, or Hon-Komagome Sta. (Namboku Line), 5-min walk
- Chuo University: the Myogadani Campus (about a 1-minute walk from Myogadani Station, Marunouchi Line) and the Tama Campus need a transfer. For the Korakuen Campus there is a no-transfer route, the Tozai Line to Iidabashi, then the roughly 17-minute walk the university states
- National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Roppongi: Roppongi Sta. (Toei Oedo Line), 5-min walk
Most of the universities with large international-student populations sit within these four lines.
